A chain of honest people
resulted on a lost engagement ring being returned to it's rightful owner. A rare feel good story:
https://www.oregonlive.com/clackamascounty/2019/05/a-lost-engagement-ring-and-an-enduring-story-of-love.html The first thing Eileen Korey noticed when she got into the car that Wednesday afternoon in early May was a small diamond ring in the tray between the front seats. It hadn’t been there before.............

In my teens and early 20's I used to work as a wool classer. That's a person who sorts the sheep's wool into about 100 or so different types. Over the years three large diamond rings bounched onto the classing table.
It was easy for the company to track down the owner. The wool bales had the farm name on them and the farm knew who the shearing gang were, and the gang knew who the "rousey" was who lost the engagement ring. |

My 8 year old left his wallet full of cash in a store dressing room, no ID. It would have been very easy to steal, but an employee turned it in and didn't touch the cash. There are still good people out there.

Actually, most people are honest and do the right thing. But, they’re not newsworthy.

Most likely truth. Probably why this story got to me. You don't see many feel good stories these days.
