Why not cut the pipe a few feet away from the tree then re-route a new pipe around the tree ?

Hey Wayne, not sure if your the original owner but used to buy parts from Pelican in the early 80's and Loren (Engine Compartment) worked at Performance Sevrvice 1978 - 83.
Living at Rat Beach now. Got a 53 and 65 356 coupes.

IDT it would harm the tree whatsoever to take a small chisel and cut away enough bark to put a plain cap on that with PVC cement. If that was on my property if would have been taken care of in the time it took to take a pic and post it along with the question.
