Get a Miata instead it is the modern version of Triumph/MGB . Drop dead reliable with good performance and great handling . Plus real world AC and a plethora of aftermarket parts available . And no need to carry a recharge of Lucas smoke with you 😉

I inherited a '65 - chrome bumpers, single cam motor (in pieces), trans (in pieces), straight, no real rust, CA car. I looked into restoring it - would cost far more than it would be worth when finished. It's a shame really.

I took this advice after selling my 87 Carrera last year. Even has a power retractable hard top. And noticeably quicker also. Cruise control? Yep. Heated seats? Yep. No regrets.

Two years ago a fellow approached me as I got out of my first generation Miata and asked me about the cars. After a while he told me he was selling his MGB as he was tired of restoring it. The car was in great shape and I had seen it often in the area.
A few weeks later I saw him driving a third generation Miata. He said he didn't want to get out of the car. Best Les

I like them, still have mine from high school. First engine I rebuilt. First carbs..... The car is shrinking somehow, I don't fit like I used to.

No luck getting to see the car yet. Last week dad had a unfortunate fall that required 28 staples in his head☹️ It’s amazing how tough he is at 92. Most people I think would take time off , he is up getting on with life. Ct scan says he is ok. Wow just blows my mind. They don’t make them like that anymore!
