New shoes for my 2245 Ruger............

I just got thru making this set of grips for my 22/45 race gun. They are made from a piece of wood that I bought off Ebay a good while ago, spalted maple (I think). The odd thing about these grips is the trigger finger support. It only allows a straight back trigger pull and positions the trigger finger the same spot each shot. The left side grip has dished out places for the other 3 fingers. Love the grain in the wood! There may be a sandpaper shortage for a while!

Flamed maple I think, not spalted. Gorgeous. the finger thing would be a very functional upgrade.

Some very good advice! It would take forever to clean out all the holes in the barrel cover! Plus, it would sink like a proverbial rock!
