Yeah, so I just went today. My right eye has been getting noticeably fuzzier. Left is running like a champ. Welp, turns out I have sports-injury related cataract starting to form in the right eye. The doc said it was a "sports" one because I don't have the typical indicators for this type. And 'm too young for "regular" cataracts.
The doctor asked about blunt force trauma to my right eye. Couldn't really recall anything except maybe a couple fights in HS football games, but never a solid punch to the eye. But my wife reminded that when I was 13 I was thrown off a horse at full gallop and smacked my face and eye socket into the back of the horse's jaw. (Saddle started to slide sideways and the horse put on the brakes!) She remembered because my uncle took a picture of the shiner I had shortly after the event and she saw the pic of me at some point.. Anyway, I am getting referred to an ophthalmologist for a cataract consult.

Im 38 years old....have 20/10 uncorrected in both eyes. But strangely, I was diagnosed with glaucoma at age 22. I've had SLT done about 4 times now in both eyes, but have decided to finally just take the drops. Get your eyes checked! If I wouldn't have when I was getting my Air Force flight physical, I'd probably be blind by now.
