Of the four I have, Technics, B & O, Garrard, Akai, the main one lately, is the Akai from Costco that has built-in Bluetooth and can digitize to my laptop and then to the phone, hooked up to a Rotel phono amp, Yamaha amp and Klipsch speakers. For my old ears, just fine. I'm putting all favorite LP's on my phone so that I can listen to them in my car, the same exact thing I used to do with cassett tapes; get the music from vinyl to portable.

I compared sound from a CD and iPod through the Yamaha/Klipsch system or the iPhone through a variety of Bluetooth speakers and I cannot discern significant loss of sound, but then my hearing is 70 and damaged from a misspent youth of high volume music listening. I spent a year visiting one friend regularily who had an apartment over a hardware store in a commercial area with a 30 x 30 living room, two walls of speakers, each wall with it's own amp, TT's each with it's own amp, tuner with it's own amp, amps and speakers everywhere. We did some damage. Here's the specs on the one I bought but it is not carried by Costco anymore. https://www.akaipro.com/bt500

What about the classic (and cheap) Gerrard changer? Proof that nostalgia can trump quality...especially given that these 64 year old ears likely would not notice any difference!

That wood-wrapped Thorens on the bottom is nice looking to my taste. ^^^ I don't really go for the space age looking ones on this thread. I have a couple of old B&O Beograms on the shelf getting dusty, need to drag them out and find someone to service them someday.

Zeke that TD125 was my first "high end" turntable. I wish to heck I still had it. And the Revox B77 that went with it.

I used to have one of these (Empire 698 Troubadour), back in the day. It had this wonky raise/lower device that would lift the arm at the end of the record. The round touch pads next to the power switch would raise/lower the arm as well. Never could get it adjusted to reliably lower the arm slowly. Still have the Marantz 2325 and the Bose 901's, haven't been powered up in years.

EMT 930 (or if you have dough, EMT 950) are hard to beat when it comes to transcribing LP's to another carrier.
I would not use them to "listen" to LP's as they tend to wear out the LP's. But they are great when it comes to delivering 100% of "what is there".

Hmm, I never had a music room and I don’t know how to help you, but I would like to ask something. My boss loves the record player and has a birthday soon. I really want to give him a set of record player and stand. I already found an excellent record player model, but I can’t decide on the stand model and it seems to me that some of you can help me with this. I found several models at https://www.pickmyturntable.com and read a huge number of reviews on the site, but the problem is that I can not make a choice and I really hope that you will help me.

Have a Dual Direct Drive with Pickering cartridge, think it was a 704. Listened to a lot before I got it in the 70's and compared to straight line tracking stuff.
Later took it to a high end shop to get a new cartridge put on it. Their tech did a bunch of diagnostics on it and then tried to buy it from me. Said it did as well in every category as their most expensive, best turntable. He did the diagnostic test to try to talk me into their best turntable. It is currently packed and sealed in its box in storage. Do digital music now, but mostly just do video. Listen to music in the car, but it does have surround.
