I see what you did there. 🤪

The engine is a 5.3, 270 hp. It feels really strong and does not smoke or leak anything. Lots of respect for the LS engines. I was considering a Ford, but the 5.4 Triton engine stars in many youtube "don't buy this engine" videos.

I'm guessing the lights up front are OK in WA, as long as I don't drive with them on. Today I pulled into my daughter's house with the lights and siren going. She came running out and told me to stop--her maid was there and she was afraid she'd think I was from ICE!

I would totally drive that thing as is.

I think you would be a fool to change a thing.

The old International Scouts, Ford Broncos and even VW Transporters with original work graphics on them are only enhanced in value with their history intact.

Like you said, people get out of your way now, and probably less chance of being the victim of someone's road rage.

That truck says: I'm packing heat - are you sure that you want to cut me off?

i think i would remove the stickers and change them for something else.

like UFO response team..or Bigfoot foundation. leave everything else. just me.

I wouldn't want to drive around with those graphics or lights, let alone passively pretending to be some sort of emergency vehicle. That's just my opinion. I'll bet there will be a shadow left in the paint where the graphics were, though. You might need to go to flames.

I get what you are saying, and tend to agree. I'll remove them after the novelty wears off. But they are pretty hilarious, you have to admit.

There may be someone around here that could make up some sort of vinyl graphics to cover the difference in paint colour.
That truck looks as though it had a very sheltered life. Nice score!
Is it 4 wheel drive?

If you have your own business, you could put some tax deductible wrap on there. Or go all-in with a rusty wrap!

Awesome. Good score.

I decommissioned the Command Unit today, removing its lettering, medical decals, and tragically, its lights, siren, and PA system. I must say, it was kind of fun to see how people reacted, but . . .

I came upon a car accident last week--a minivan full of mom and kids had rear ended a Honda Civic and both cars were pretty crushed. I stopped and asked if they needed help, and they said everyone was fine, and they had called 911. Then one of the kids pointed at my truck and said "He is 911!" I think somebody mentioned this would happen, and it did. I made my explanations and left.

Won't happen again.

I did. ;)
