Guys...this is a great read! Some winning all around in this story. Thanks for posting it.

It's a great story and it all may be true, and it really had me until the last paragraph.
"Do a search on Kenny." I'm a skeptic so I did. Everything I saw refers back to the original story. Again, it may all be true, but if an ordinary guy had saved the dog wouldn't that be just as great? Wouldn't that have been enough? Is the fact that the hero became an NFL player really germane to the real story?
Yes, I'm cynical.

I think the story will strike home, as there is, I am guessing, someone in all of our lives fighting the demons.

Be it a brother, sister, friend or past workmate. As the writer points out the best we can do is try to be the best tools for that person. Whether they use the tools is up to them.

The highest form of generosity seldom has to do with money.

Especially as adults, we have a duty to demonstrate that form of generosity to the younger generation, as Kenny had obviously received.

The phrase "Pay it forward" was coined years back, to encourage that concept, although the concept was already there, as flawed beings, we need reminders, which this story certainly is.

Lesson learned - reach out and help someone when you can. Random acts of kindness....paying it forward...or just good old fashioned generosity.

I suspect many humans don't fully understand the substance of impact they can make on someone else's life.

Thank you, Otter.

I don't think that the fact that the guy is an NFL player really changes the story, but it adds some extra interest to it, at least for a lot of people. I don't follow sportsball so I've never heard of the guy. Still think it's a nice story!
