Worth millions...can't fly first class...
Cam Newton....get yer lanky azz to the back of da plane! He tried to "buy" his way to a roomier first class seat...passenger must not like $uperman...NOPE!
|
If I had his millions I'd probably offer to buy a seat too. He just didn't have enough cash.
|
Mebbe it was just a Jags fan :). Yer owner's boyz wouldn't let me step foot on his ol' boat...and I axed nicely....
"Permission to come aboard"? They just grinned and said....NOPE! |
Has millions is not the same as WORTH millions.
Besides, Will Grier has plenty of leg room. |

you're being kind. some of it was laziness. :)
man, i've never flown 1st class. i have "cropped dusted" the front rows while trudging back to the cheap seats before. |
The issue was he was too cheap to switch airlines. AA re accommodated him, but not in the original class. He had a business class ticket.
|
I saw an article about this in the LA Times. It was clear that the seat he tried to pay the guy to switch was an exit row in coach, not first or business class. It was also clear, (to me), that he must have bought a last minute ticket or switched flights or something, this is not a guy who flies coach.
Modern coach seats are cramped for me and I'm under 6'. I can't imagine being a lanky 6'5" and sitting in one for 8-13 hours, (it did not say where in the U.S. he was flying to). I don't know much about Cam Newton but he seems like a cool guy, based on that video. He did not throw a tantrum or act rudely, he simply tried to pay someone to switch seats. When the guy declined, he shrugged and sat in his assigned seat. Just to put things in perspective, 15 years ago, the prices for a RT ticket on Air France or Delta, (same flight), from Los Angeles to Paris non-stop were as follows: Coach, $1200 Business, $6600 First, $10k That was back when coach was a lot nicer than now. I don't know if prices have changed or how much because I always buy the cheapest last minute ticket I can get on the internet and play the one-way game. I flew home from Paris on Norwegian Air one way/last minute for ~$500 last year, IIRC. |
I just saw it on the news...wasn't paying close attemtion. Cam had his moments when he was younger...but he seems like a "good dude" imo, and only he and a pimp can get away with his " style" sometimes. He's having fun :)
Bet he don't ride in da back of the bus no mo' ;)! When did Jax natives become irate Byron....he does have nice little boat...ya gotta admit? |
This is Matt Kalil…
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1561480097.jpg This is Ryan Kalil (at the pro bowl) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1561480141.jpg This is their father, Frank. See any resemblance? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1561480177.jpg We were on the same baseball team for a couple years, he could wear a trash can lid for a hat. Frank's sister and I were friends in school, don't have a picture of her handy but she was easy on the eyes. |
Well...the 67s on the jerseys do look similar. Methinks Ryan retired....gonna be missed....a ROCK in the middle fer years....both good guys! Might have just been regional, but they were in a Bojangles commercial a year or so ago...poking at each other...
I'd want to be on their side....fer sure! |
why can't he rent a jet like normal rich people??
or buy one if ultra-rich |

The guy comes in acting like was going to help the city, he has only helped himself. He is working on a pl an now to end up with a large chunk of downtown riverfront property and mostly the driving force to destroy the Landing. He sides with groups who are not pro Jacksonville, and has proven that he is a general POS. There was a reason the NFL refused to accept him as a team owner the 1st time he tried to buy a team and a reason that weaver had to push so hard to get the NFL to let him buy the Jack offs. I remember it was a big deal and the original owner of the team pushed hard for the sale. |
