RPO Codes?

I purchased a used 2018 Chevy 3500 Express passenger van on Friday to replace my 12 year old Silverado.

I'm working on bringing this vehicle up to my standards. The rotors on the left side have some scoring in them and I will replace them before winter. It seems there were two braking systems available for this year vehicle, GM codes JH6 and JH9. I can't find the RPO sticker anywhere in the vehicle. What's my best bet for figuring this out?

In trucks, as you probably already know, it is inside the glove box. Maybe its on the little compartment on the dog box?

The only glove box in this van is in the center console and there is no sticker there.

Only a year old, can a dealer give you options from a vin?

Try the passenger door jam, actually, try all the door jams. Are there any plastic covers in the rear, maybe visible if you open the rear doors?

Edit - It's probably JH6, looks like JH9 is just for cutaway vans, like box trucks and RVs.

Thanks everyone. I checked every door jam, under the hood, under the dash, the glove box, and where the jack and tools are stored, nothing.

This is useful to know, but I'll still probably request the dealer pull the options for me.

Found a list of RPO's as you probably did. I am seeing JH6 is for the lighter duty truck. Other model specific searches say the heavier duty Express is 14,400 lbs. RPO list says meanings can change from year to year.

PM me your VIN. I go to the Chevy dealer once a month for same reason you want to. They know me. Maybe I can get a dump of all your option codes.

You can do it with a phone call but I'm pretty much retired, if you hear what I am saying.

In the mid 60's when I was playing with a Corvette and buying special parts through Harry Mann Chevrolet "The World's Largest Corvette Dealer," I thought RPO meant "Racing Package Option."

I hear you.

I work on an early 2000's 3500 dump truck pickup. That SOB weighs 9,000+ lbs. empty. My certified 10,000 lb Challenger screams on the way up. I mean, it's angry.

I think there are 37 lug nuts per wheel.

I could not touch a fully loaded big boy Express.

I learned Regular Production Option today at 62 years old.

FWIW, also thought RAP Sheet had to have some acronym meaning/reference. Yesterday found out it has to do with, essentially, receiving a rap on the knuckles. How many knocks have you received. Old as dirt.

Here it is for your vehicle. You have seven pages of RPO's. Ha. PM address, I'll mail them. Parts guy said no way you are going to find the sticker. I did not dig in to why.

Thanks Bob! Got it in the mail Friday as promised. Now I can make sure I get the correct parts.

A week with this thing and it's a beast. The ride is a little bouncy unless it is fully loaded, then it rides very well. The kids love it. I love that I can load kids in, start the engine and get the AC going, buckle kids in car seats, then walk to the drivers seat. Very nice when it is raining.

Sweet. That list is impressive but it's so detailed I wonder if "steering wheel" is one of the line items.

All the best! Fun helping, too.
