Good long shake here in Castaic, lasted about a minute. Definitely stronger than the last one.

I was brushing my teeth and felt nothing. My wife was checking email and said she felt the room shake a bit. SoCal is due for a major shake for sure. Could be as soon as I hit the "Post Quick Reply" button or 100 years after I am dust. Stock up on water and supplies my friends.

I'm moving back to Arizona in a few weeks, maybe this is God telling me to hurry up?

as long as I get this house sold before the San Andreas shears off and returns the San Gabriels back into sea floor where it was a zillon years ago

BeyGon 07-05-2019 07:59 PM

Yeah, it lasted maybe about a minute for us and got stronger to the end.

back in the day, when my ex wife left California and moved to Arco Sante to build the hippy colony she said the same thing. I told her if California falls into the ocean the wave will wash over Arizona all the way to the Iowa so she will get wet.

my SIL just called, they live in Apple Valley, she said the water was splashing out of their pool.

Lots of energy is being released in the fault zones in that area...

jeez, now your bringing back memories

I remember visiting Arco Sante when I was a kid, I think its still open but I'll have to look it up

Lowered my 911 down to the ground (on my 2 post lift) from working under it earlier, just to be safe. Looks like I guessed right.
Was in a movie theatre and was evacuated. Got Regal Readmission tickets though.
Was watching the Beatles movie "yesterday". We were enjoying it but only half way thru. Don't spoil the ending for me.....

We were at the Jethro Tull concert at the local casino. Show just started when it started shaking..... our seats were in the risers 15 rows up and on the end.
The place emptied.

Was it worth it? Is Ian Anderson still the show?

It's all still there but I don't think there is much going on these days. The good thing about it was she met her next husband there. Helped me out.

Ian is the only original member and either it was him or the sound board was off but it didn’t sound very good. We only made through one song before our seats were swaying back and forth and we left.
Not sure if he continued the show or not. Probably half the audience ran for the exit.

Worth it? My wife’s birthday and the tickets were a gift from her boss. And I won a couple hundred playing blackjack before the concert!

Pretty good shaker here in Redondo Beach.
I don't get all the panic, doesn't bother me.
Lasted for a while. SmileWavy
