They now cut off one ear and send it in fer a test....sometimes it takes two tests but the problem always goes away . Good luck....

As a very young man I was religiously clean out my ears with Q-tips and at one point I lost hearing in one ear, went to the doc and she blasted it out with a plastic syringe- looked like orange gravel in the tray; apparently Q-tip use is like packing a cannon.

On the way out, I swore I could hear ants pee; my hearing was that clear!

Good luck to you Baz- it must be medical as you have no wife to cause it to be selective.

Elephant Ear Washer Bottle System by Doctor Easy, my urgent care used this on me last time I had problem, took 30 seconds and done.

Pour a few drops hydrogen peroxide in the shower Fizzy fizzy.
Then flush it out with hand wand after 5-10sec.
Repeat if necessary. You'll know when.
