Breakfast is the best part of the daily routine. My favorite meal of the day...

Second best is playing with my dog Jack in the morning. As soon as I get out of bed, he's right there with one of his toys wanting to play 'fetch' or 'tug-of-war'.

This is almost our exact routine, except we don't have dogs or a down stairs, and I make the coffee and we talk and watch the news in bed. On weekends or whenever we can during the nicer parts of the year, we sit/swing on our swing in front and view the canyon and eat breakfast. One of my favorite things. Sunsets are also great.

Ha, I use that as a going to sleep technique. I used to work three jobs (computer tech at a bank + Mexican waiter + landlord) and when I saw the bed I thought "luxury." Boof - next thing I knew it was morning. If I ever woke up in the night I thought hurray I don't have to get up and go to work.

Coming home from work early on these hot days (about 2:00 pm), and jumping in the pool, with a cold one waiting near by, and my Aussie waiting for me to throw a stick for him to chase.

Getting up in the morning to see the sun rise. I like looking at clouds - no day is the same.

I was thinking the intro shower scene in American Beauty.

Accessed it to make sure but then watched the whole movie. What a classic.
