That guys (Frankie Zapata, like the old circus) hails from my hometown... Whenever I fly back to visit family I can see him fly over the sea following the coast from one harbor to the next town's harbor, refuel or whatever, and go again... People at the beach are treated to a show quite often... Kinda loud though. It's pretty amazing what he did, without support from anyone, let alone the government - I'm surprised they finally relented and showed him off for the 14th of July parade (which no-one ever calls Bastille day locally, btw) ... And he's not exactly a rocket scientist either (from talking to him) and yet... This stuff might have cool applications soon... I'm genuinely shocked at how reliable it's been for a garage project. I always expected to hear he drowned over the Med but nope...

Looks dangerous as hell to me. One malfunction and that's it. Like free climbing or a wing suit.

and if you stay save and snuggly in your pillow padded living room rocking chair, you can still fall over and bonk your head, break your neck, and die.

Try telling that to your insurance agent.
