Part sci-fi, part what's here now. You decide. (pay no attention to the pic on screen)

The Chinese are now purchasing Sikorsky H-60 Black Hawk/Seahawk for their Army and Navy
(actually - it's their carbon copy, the Z-20)

“I’m at the airport in Dallas, waiting for my flight home to DC from El Paso, and something incredible is happening.

Our incoming plane is carrying the remains of an American pilot shot down over Vietnam in 1967. His remains were only recently recovered and identified and brought back to the US.

As we wait at the gate, we’re told that Captain Knight is coming home to Dallas. When he left from this very airport to fight in Vietnam his 5 year old son came to the airfield and waved goodbye. It was the last time he would see his father alive.

Today the pilot of the plane bringing Capt. Knight back to Dallas is his son.

The entire terminal has come to watch this arrival. Incredible moment to watch.

The entire airport fell silent.

For those asking, they announced it over the intercom. The gate agent was very emotional as he told the story over the PA. They handed out American flags to everyone at the gate.” — Jackson Proskow

Air show in Greenwood Nova Scotia this weekend. I'm about 30 miles west. Saw a couple of Eagles heading in just around supper time.

Iraqi MiG 23

April 2003

Upon landing at Baghdad International Airport we came across a derelict MiG 23 (likely a trainer) found on the outskirts of the airport.

There were also several MiG 21s and 23s that were buried in the sand. The Iraqis thought after the initial assault they would dig up these aircraft and engage the Allied air forces.

Didn’t happen.

You should hear the 105 stories my uncle has from SEA (South East Asia). . .

His plane, “Mr. Toad” (91749) served him well for 86 missions over Viet Nam. The next guy who flew “Mr Toad” was hit really bad flying a mission in route pack six in 1969. The plane was barely flyable but got the pilot back to safety where he was able to eject over friendly territory.

A British model maker recreated “Mr. Toad” to the “T.” Below is his build

Edit: There is a video made during the Viet Nam war that actually had some footage of my uncle flying “Mr. Toad,” I’ve included a screen shot below.
