The Chinese are now purchasing Sikorsky H-60 Black Hawk/Seahawk for their Army and Navy
(actually - it's their carbon copy, the Z-20) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1724281829.jpg |

Air show in Greenwood Nova Scotia this weekend. I'm about 30 miles west. Saw a couple of Eagles heading in just around supper time.

Iraqi MiG 23
April 2003
Upon landing at Baghdad International Airport we came across a derelict MiG 23 (likely a trainer) found on the outskirts of the airport. There were also several MiG 21s and 23s that were buried in the sand. The Iraqis thought after the initial assault they would dig up these aircraft and engage the Allied air forces. Didn’t happen. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1724718923.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1724718923.jpg |

You should hear the 105 stories my uncle has from SEA (South East Asia). . .
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1725620238.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1725620280.jpg His plane, “Mr. Toad” (91749) served him well for 86 missions over Viet Nam. The next guy who flew “Mr Toad” was hit really bad flying a mission in route pack six in 1969. The plane was barely flyable but got the pilot back to safety where he was able to eject over friendly territory. A British model maker recreated “Mr. Toad” to the “T.” Below is his build https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235047090-f-105d-thunderchief-59-1749-mr-toadmarilee-e-172/page/2/ Edit: There is a video made during the Viet Nam war that actually had some footage of my uncle flying “Mr. Toad,” I’ve included a screen shot below. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1725623800.jpg |
