I was on an engineering meeting this afternoon, I normally just monitor, and was staring at the photo Glenn posted.

Well, I think Robert Mason, he's no hero, nor does he pretend to be.
His second book covers him as a person a bit more, I mean he does come over as a bit of a take the easy way out kinda guy in terms of getting by in life. And that landed him in trouble with the law even. But the way he writes it I can't really hate the guy ,if anything , He made some poor choices but he didn't really blame anybody for em.
His wife sure as hell must have loved him and stuck it out with him despite .

The second book really is about imperfections in him as a person. his marie jane smuggling , jail, and getting the book sold..
He's a good writer, and If the first book is true, which I believe it to be, He never joined to be a hero, but he didn't wimp out in SEA either.. he did his service to the best of his abilities, he was a normal guy in abnormal situations and I think he deserves some respect for his service.

kinda but it has odd scaffolding attached to it

To my knowledge, Usually missiles on display are layed horizontal, not standing up because they generally aren't designed to stand for prolonged time when not fueled up (and you bet they don't parkem fueled up for an air show)

I dunno Nota,

a U2 is 19 meters long,31 meter wingspan
Thor Athena 28 tall

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1649784472.jpg
Considering the perspective (it's further from the camera), it looks a lot taller then the U2's wingspan an the shape seems different as well.

Maybe in Seahawks close up picture, the closest missile is that Thor..
But i'm talkin bout the one in the overhead pic, there's only one missile in it

And I think that's the missile in the back of Seahawks pic

Sept 23/24 @ Mirimar N.A.S. @ San Diego county CA. will be "the largest" air show in the country.

Getting to watch the 40 minute MAGTF demo with the F-35's is going to be goose bump time.

The Blue Angels will be doing their "high sky" show in F-18 Super Hornets for first time too.

If you look closely, you can see the second missile support equipment on the ground.

I zoomed in.

Again, incredible photo and I have flown, static displayed at a bunch of air shows.

This happened about 8 years ago not far from my property in central Texas. I believe it was a Cessna 188 AG Husky.

Tesla owner using “Smart Summon” feature hits $3,500,000 jet

If I were the Vision Jet owner (Cirrus) I would be furious. I wonder if the Tesla’s owners insurance will pay.

I don't think the plane will be that damaged from that, the inspection time will probably be more cost then the paint fixup..
The youtube crash, I bet they will throw the book at him from any angle can... park service; epa, police; FAA; the works
