Saw the back surgeon today. He said surgery is not really going to help the widespread arthritis in my spine. Do Pt for 3 months, if the pain isn’t acceptable, he’ll do injections. Other than that, I’m screwed.
The good news is after only 5 PT sessions I’m feeling some improvement. Learning how to carry myself and how to do helpful stretches and exercises seems to be helping. I spent 20 minutes walking through Kroger’s with MrsWD with no back pain at all. I’m optimistic.

Glad to hear the PT is helping. Living with back pain is no fun. Personally I don't like the idea of injections since they just mask the pain and IMO can lead to more problems down the road since you can't really tell if you're doing something you shouldn't be doing.
