Brother wants to buy a 2019 Suburban, better deals out there?

My brother is looking to buy a 2019 Suburban, he found one he likes at this dealer.

It looks like all the dealers are trying to clear out their 2019 inventory and they are selling him the car at roughly $8,500 which is their advertised price. How much more do you think he should be able to get off? He is in a hurry, which is dumb with the 2020 coming any minute, but whatever.

What is your experience with dealers and end of model year deals?

Thanks,
Neil

Seems about right for an LT.

Kelly blue book site gives pretty good info on what you can get off a new car.

It seems there’s a lot more room to negotiate on new cars than used cars meaning some new cars are a better deal than couple year old used cars unless you buy from an individual

I just checked and $8500 is way more than what kbb shows so looks pretty good

I’ve seen as much as 11k off new. This series of suburban/Tahoe has major issues with cabin pressure vibes; he may want to look into that first.

There's lots of possible discounts and incentives on GM cars. Try checking with this broker. He's got a very good reputation:

There was a few articles in the past several months stating new car inventory is really high. Maybe some better deals over the next few months? Is there a way to check how many unsold suburbans are around?

In the past I have just called area dealerships that had what I wanted, told them I was ready to buy and looking for the best price, asked for their best price for car X, then bought from the best price dealer. It’s a nice low hassle way to buy, especially if you know what you want.
