Shreaded

Long ago I have said after the tempest of 08 and ensuing stabilization that the world would enter into the eye of the storm only to revisit the other side of the storm at a later date. I could reiterate the litany but suffice it to say that a decline of the established order leads to chaos and fragmentation where power abhors a vacuum and various powers will vie for supremacy.

The world appears to be rentering the storm. I do not think we will see tranquility again. Chaos on a domestic and global scale is descending upon us, as our sensibilities are being shreaded.

Yer probably right Tabs. I think we ARE in for a period of instability in our institutions. It's an opportunity for those ready to exploit it. We must be vigilant.

The tipping point was passed shortly after Obama was elected...but that's just my opinion.

I'm glad to have had 75 trips around the sun. Soon enough, I'll be saying "so long, kids...and good luck."

Don't really feel like I belong in today's world anyway.

25 years behind you Paul, and sometimes I feel the same way . The world has changed so much from my 20's to where we are at today

Mother said she would only love me if I were perfect. The implication is that she wouldn't hate me if I were only perfect.

Being only human and in her eyes less than...there is nothing that I can do to change that perception...I am stuck with it hard as I may try to please her. The emotional impact is one of profound sadness..that one can never really escape from as you only have one Mother...and those are the cards one is dealt..

Of course being the little monkey that I am, my revenge is to play into her negative perceptions to drive her to distraction. But of course that is not really all that hard to do..

The trouble I have is with "a period of" that implies it is transitory...Stability at some point will return and this is just another bump in the road...the question is when and what will it look like. What was known before is going going gone. I do not think you will recognize the the world when it returns to a stable situation.

The instability in Rome lasted from roughly 80 BC with Sulla until Marc Anthony and Cleo took their dirt nap and ascension of Augustus as "First Citizen" of Rome in 30 BC..After the fall of Rome in the west in 479 AD it took until the Renaissance in apx 1500 AD to resurrect Western Civ.

The new socialist state will not be able to continue with their program of largess and control because there will not be the economic means left to fund it...

They are rolling the dice with their destabilizing plan because they do not know how those dice will fall. In a climate of instability much like Germany after WW1 it was the Right Wing Fascists that prevailed... lets call that blow back on the Commies..

To get to the socialist state that the Socialists dream of, the program calls for the implementation of a socialist agenda that is to undermine the efficacy and veracity of the state...In essence those social programs will be seen as having caused the failure of the state which will be repudiated in favor of the other extreme which is Right Wing Nationalism...Donald Trump anyone?

So good luck to Saul, HRC and fking BO...

HRC may have read the dictums of Saul, but she at the end of the day is a white trailer trash wanabe somebody who is only in it for the power she can grasp...

BO on the other hand is a true believer in international socialism...from his Mother and Grand father..the fker has a Midwest twang to his socialism...

So many things teetering on the point of falling over.

One issue would not be a big deal, but so many going on at the same time. I've done a bit of cashing up and waiting for bargains.

If you really wana go there President Wilson is your man...with antecedents in TR..

The real tipping point heading to BK was LBJ and the SS Trust into the GA..until then SS was self funding..then they started robbing it to pay for a Guns and Butter ...the Great Society and the American SE Asian war games aka Vietnam...

That is where the blue print was laid down.

Then Reagan with his New Morning in America told Americans how "exceptional" they are and deserve to buy it on credit for all of their hard work. Look to where the US debt really started to escalate..

So if you go back in history to see it as a progression of events...one after another..you to get to today..

That presumes those bargains will again be worth more...it just maybe that today's bargains will look over priced tomorrow..

Your mindset is that you still think that the situation will return to some kind of previous normal..that his instability will be just another bump in the road.
