The ranger had told us about them and said they’d only be a problem if you *****ed with them.
That’s crazy. I almost forgot to tell this but I stopped at a 7/11 a few weeks ago and could not help noticing that the small dog clamoring around on the rear shelf of a sedan was actually a skunk. Yes, a skunk.

I was about to take a photo when I noticed that there was a person in the passenger seat, just waiting for the driver to come back. It was a pet.

I cannot imagine a better anti-theft device to leave in a car.

But wait, there's more!!
Noticed some fresh trail markers on the deck, so set the trap back up.
Boom, got another slightly smaller stinker in less than an hour.
Assume it was Mrs. Stinky.
Just to be sure, I set the trap back up.
Another hour or so goes by, and boom, got another!
This one was definitely a baby.
Let this one and mommy stinky go at the same spot Daddy Stinky was let go.
Hopefully they reunite.
Set the trap back up last night but didnt catch anything.
So I had THREE stinkers living in my garage without me knowing.
And I am out there quite a bit.

Yup, finding that out the hard way.
With this mornings catch, the total is up to 5 so far.
Research indicates that the first catch was mommy, and the last 4 were babies.
Daddy hits and runs, with multiple baby mommas within his home range.
Still cant believe there were FIVE skunks living in my garage without me knowing.

My golden/beagle/lab/cocker 40lbs mix was hit right in the face several months ago. Made her physically ill, etc. I still notice a strong skunk smell on her when she gets wet after multiple washings with the recommended mix of stuff (baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, dawn) and a couple of trips to the groomer. Skunk stuff has staying power! Be careful out there!!
