Laceless Running Shoes

"Laceless Running Shoes" Really?

So I've been looking around for a new pair of walking shoes and...
I plan on buying some and seeing what they're all about but I'm not sure they'll work for me.

Has anybody tried them yet?

(I have type 2 diabetes and nerve damaged feet so regular lace up shoes can be very painful at times. I was hoping these would be a better option.)

Don't buy shoes because of a gimmick, buy shoes that fit well and are comfortable, then ADD the gimmick to them!

https://www.locklaces.com/

They're permanent elastic laces that allow you to slip your walking shoes on and off, then you can tighten them as much as you want quickly, and they allow the show to expand slightly while you move. When you run, your feet swell and tight shoes get too tight, I assume that you have similar issues when walking. These keep smooth, constant pressure all along the top of your foot, and allow swelling.

They are specifically designed for comfort when kneeling.

I just threw away a brand-new pair this weekend. My foot was constantly rolling out of the shoe.

You bet..my wife kinda keeps up when I need new shoes and she got me a pair. I don't pay much attention, but when my damn shoe rolls off my foot when shifting gears or doing yard work I get kind of annoyed

Imagine your big toe is a piece of chalk.

Now spell out the alphabet in the air on your imaginary chalkboard

This will help with strength and proprioception, both of which will reduce the chance of re injury

WRT the laceless running shoes. I think they would be fine for watching golf on TV

No way you get through the whole alphabet on the first try anyway, will need to work up to it.

I must be doing something wrong, because I was able to do both legs, either straight or bent, the full alphabet. I'm very interested in this, because I always want to test how my hip replacement is doing....

My intention with those instructions for you to just hold the leg still, and move only the foot. This is done in seated position.

I always like to check and make sure people are even after a large joint prosthesis, knee or hip. It is VERY common to be off a bit post op.
