Why was it deleted? Not moved to PARF, but deleted?

We have discussed drugs here before. I started it in OT because I wanted a wider discussion on drugs than the Political aspects.

Milt's fault.

It had jumped to 20 posts when I got to the office. I could see Tabs running it off the rails. But after lunch, gone.

I read it earlier this morning, right after the thread from Zeke/Milt.

There was another thread or two earlier that something got posted in one of the posts and broke the thread. Could be all that happened here.

I started to read your thread, then Tabby's posts started....

What aspects of fentanyl (?opiates?) were you wondering about? FWIW, I administer a fair bit of it (them) to surgical patients every work day.

He informed Management...that he didn't like something.

The title was provocative...inflammatory...which had overt political and economic overtone...

In this case I am afraid not. The Democrats certainly don't say "The Clintons killed him." The Democrats don't whine about "what BO did to it." sic to the military. The Republicans do complain about it..the other examples could go either way.. You made pejorative political inference.

This is about illicit use. 25 Tons were just seized in Mexico. At a 25 mcg dose, that is trillions doses and 2 mg LD20, probably enough to kill everyone on the planet.

A local kid purchased a pound vis China Post for about $500. So that was about $27.5M (or less) of Fentanyl.

On the other deleted Thread I made comment to the effect that...I am tired of listening to American ignorance and stupidity as reflected on this Board. That I have to make comment, showing deeper and more comprehensive meaning.

It is not that I expect to change anything. I just have to try....

Funny, so many do want to talk politics but are afraid of PARF. ...well, they seem afraid of the harsh counter points that -out- the fact that they aren't thinking clearly about a topic.

Horse tranquilizer has never interested me as a recreational drug, and I can't understand how it does for so many, with so much established risk !

Ironically I pulled my bills and the cost of fentanyl for my last surgery was around 500$... I don't like the stuff, yet it's pushed. double entendre jokes aside...

That is a rather narrow minded solution that is not inclusive of diversity.

Fentanyl is merely the application of modern technology to a drug that has been used and abused for thousands of years. It is a godsend to people who need it when they need it (my late buddy who had terminal cancer), and hellish for people who get hooked.

Carfentanil is what the Rooskies used when the Chechen group took over that theater in Moscow. Did not have enough narcan, so they killed a ton of folks.

An opioid powerful enough to use like a nerve gas, yikes.

It is possible to dominate a conversation without making the slightest useful contribution. That is pretty much why people don't try to solve the world's problems on the internet.

How does what you just posted have even the slightest bearing on this conversation about a deadly addictive drug?

My posts have a lot of historical depth and are written in a straight forward non.pejorative fashion. It takes thought and a lot of knowledge to write what I do. More over within myself I am self reflective and can separate what is fanciful right out of the equation. It has taken a lot of time, effort and treasure to achieve what I have.

When a whole Thread is deleted then all of my effort, time and knowledge is wasted. All for nothing.

The situation is becoming very grave and I don't know if it can be stabilized once again. Once you slip down that slope...

If I had a dollar for every time I heard our resident Vegas grouch complain about how he’s so sick and tired of the stupidity here I’d have enough for a new GT3. Yet inexplicably he keeps coming back despite how much he’s supposedly sick of it. Honestly I don’t come on here much anymore but do poke in from time to time to see what / if anything’s new or changed. After a couple of days I’ll go "nope" and can tune out for a few more weeks without worrying about missing anything significant. Same as it ever was... Same trolls, same bickering, same hopeless political biases, same people complaining endlessly and predicting the end of days...
