Electronic music manipulation
Do any of you use a DAW or software to edit e-music? I want to edit what I think is an MP format file and separate the vocal tracks from the music saving the backbeat to another file.
Any help?

This is the simplest way to do it and it's a free app. It doesn't remove 100%, and does affect the EQ noticeably but unless you start with the raw multitrack stems, this is the next best thing.

If you want to DIY: There's a great piece of freeware called "Audacity" which is useful for this.
Drop the phrase "remove vocal tracks audacity" into Google and you should get several tutorials and videos explaining how to do this. |

Get me a FLAC or Wav file for this. I may be able to isolate the vocals pretty well using spectral editing.
