Anyone here live in Iceland?

I will be heading to Iceland on the 8th and was just wondering if there are any Icelandic Pelicans here?

I don't live there, but I spent a fair amount of time working there. You will be surprised just how many Porsches, and really nice ones at that, you will find. It would seem some would almost have to be Pelicans. I'm sure there is no other way to get Porsche parts other than mail order.

I've personally fallen in love with the place. I've insisted that my wife and I always plan at least a several day layover whenever we travel to the U.K. or to Europe and, as a result, she has fallen in love with it as well. Let us know how you like it.

I've been there twice, but I have a lot of close family there. Beautiful country.

I just got back from visiting there. A very mystical and surreal place for sure.

This looks like the 'joint' between the North American Techtonic Plate and the Eurasian Techtonic Plate.... is it?

It runs N-S down the isle, just E of the centerline. It's moving an inch or so a year.

You can literally put on foot in N. America and the other in Europe.

Correct. This view is looking toward the spot where the Viking tribes were brought together at the Lögberg (Law Rock) where Iceland's Althing (General Assembly) was first held in the year 930 and met until 1262. Things coming apart where they once came together.

Sure it is. It's part of the E.U. which means it's part of Europe.

It is actually not part of the EU. It’s part of the EEA - European Economic Area.

Don't mix apples and oranges. Above sea level continents and tectonic plates. If you do that, much of California would not be in North America. But then again...........
