I got to drive a friend's BTR. its a 993 conversion by RUF. Not too harsh but you definitely notice the difference. Single turbo. he just picked it up last week. Now I have to watch this vid

Wow! Well worth 30 minutes of my time to watch. Wait! I am retired and have nothing but time. Now off to find the film from The 'Ring and buy some Lotto tickets.
A biz associate had an early'80's RUF and I was able to enjoy it. Sure wish my SC performed like that. I still have the brochure that he gave me someplace around here.

Just watched the 'Ring video. Drifting before drifting was a thing. (Sorry, do not consider it a sport)

It looks like they've cleaned up the video in this version. Full 1080p HD supposedly

Trivia alert!

They actually met in Oklahoma City!

Our PCA region used to hold the War Bonnet Tech sessions. He was invited as a speaker. Like every else he checked in at the hotel to get a room. She was working as the Hotel Manager. They were instantly attracted to each other, and he stuck around after the Tech Session and started dating her. The rest is history.

We had many Porsche Factory speakers over the year. I frank a lot of been in that hotel bar while chatting with Hans Mezger. I learned never try to keep up with a German beer drinker. Impossible task.

I just finished watching. I thought it was great, but did I see an oil drop when they drove away?

Now at least I know how to pronounce "RUF" (Roof)

And I also learned that I'm a long way from owning one of these roofs.

If you notice all of the RUFs have no sunroof. He discovered that at about 200 MPH the sunroof will suck right out of the 911. All RUFs will go 200 MPH or more.

No doubt in my mind, if I won the lottery, I would buy a RUF. He makes the Singer look ordinary. Maybe if I ever bought a lottery ticket my chances might go up a few millionths of a percent, but I still wil not bother to play the lottery. Just a tax on math impaired people.

Technically. Technically, my 911SC is a RUF.

well, not really. But the guy who owned it before me bought it from RUF GB. And when I bought it they said they knew the car well and did a detailed PPI for me. Also as a friendly gesture they held the car at RUF Great Britain until the seller (Nic) had been paid and handed it over to my shipping agent.
