Yeah...lovin' the 102 heat index! ;)

tevake 10-01-2019 08:03 PM

Exactly Baz! The days are getting shorter, trees are turning colors and dropping leaves.

Yet no break in the heat, I'm so ready.

Really dry here too, I think we've had only one shower in the last month or more.

Cheers Richard

I feel bad for you guys. We had .2 in. of rain showers the end of last week and the last few nights have gotten to the low thirties by early mornings while days are high 60s. But this coming week we'll be into the high 70s with fairly low humidity. We're hoping for more moisture to keep the fires at bay. So far we've been lucky in that respect.

pksystems 10-01-2019 10:02 PM

Is that why it's already snowing?

Rusty Heap 10-01-2019 10:23 PM

your sideways picture says Its all down hill from here

It’s not Fall here yet, that will have to wait until Friday. High today is expected to be 94 with high humidity. Friday the high is predicted to be 65.

red-beard 10-02-2019 02:46 AM

The low here is 79F. Maybe, just maybe we will get an overnight low of 58F next week. Maybe...

OTOH the pool has cooled down....to 86F

We've just suffered through the second-hottest September ever recorded here in East TN (broke a record set in 1884). Yesterday was the hottest day ever recorded for the month of October. We've gotten .03" of rain since August.

Supposed to be 94 today.

Loving it! Trees and crops are turning... getting ready for archery season which opened last weekend. Headed North in a week to go after some Salmon. LOVE this time of year.

Mine just warmed up to 76 yesterday. So everyone talking about how hot it has been... send it my way! I'd like to get a few more uses out of the pool before I close it for the season.

Summer "broke" here several weeks ago....lasted about three daze...got that thread title wrong for sure.

Upper 80s and a bit humid here....still :).

84 high in Akron. Big delta for such a small distance from you.

GH85Carrera 10-02-2019 06:46 AM

Oklahoma had 13 months in a row of below normal average monthly temperatures, until September. We are supposed to get close to 90 today, and then finally tomorrow, fall arrives for us. Highs in the low 70s tomorrow. Our September is the 6th hottest on record.

I have a few around the house projects that I have been putting off until the fall weather arrives. It looks like tomorrow the projects start back up.

Over 4 inches of rain here in the last week and a half. Fire is still on everyone’s mind but it lessened it a bit. I’ve had morning fires in the wood stove already. The bad thing is that I haven’t cleaned the chimney yet....maybe today.

When I saw this on my iPad I didn't know what you are talking about. The photo looks normal. On my computer it's sideways.

stealthn 10-02-2019 07:40 AM

Yeah we already had 12” of snow :(

Yea, Apple as always does things their way, and if the rest of the world is different, well too bad.

The rotation on photos is just silly. For almost all photos I take with my iPhone, I open them in Photoshop and crop or resize them. They post the right way up 100% of the time. If I post the image right from the phone it is usually rotated. It makes no sense, except Apple had decided their way or the highway even if it is not standard to the rest of the world.

rattlsnak 10-02-2019 05:38 PM

Yes, it was 92 here today. Kind of weird to have used the sprinklers and the leaf blower on the same day..

flatbutt 10-02-2019 06:38 PM

Anyone else notice that fall colors aren't as vivid anymore?
