Hopefully the knucklehead didn't get hurt

asphaltgambler 10-09-2019 12:53 PM

.....clearly...........was not ..........well set-up........

rfuerst911sc 10-09-2019 01:05 PM

Had good tires but not great tire's !

fastfredracing 10-09-2019 01:21 PM

When in doubt, both feet out, when in a spin, both feet in .

Stangs gonna stang

pwd72s 10-09-2019 02:18 PM

My Gawd! I've been driving a hazard to mankind for over a decade!

Maybe Congress should ban Mustangs?

908/930 10-09-2019 02:29 PM

LOL, he was probably looking at his phone. Some should take the bus.

Noah930 10-09-2019 02:38 PM

I like the videographer, who calmly states the obvious: "Epic fail."

Tobra 10-09-2019 02:45 PM

managed to do that going straight, sort of straight

speeder 10-09-2019 03:03 PM

What is striking to me is that people, (ok, they’re mostly kids), think that it’s interesting and worth filming a bunch of schitbox cars revving their engines entering a straight highway out in the country. I think I’d rather paint a wall and set up a couple of chairs to watch it dry.

Rusty Heap 10-09-2019 03:08 PM

cold tires are slippery m-kay.

Jim Richards 10-09-2019 03:48 PM

Should Mustang drivers be required to take a test before they can get behind the wheel of one? If so, which test? Driving proficiency, IQ, drug or alcohol, etc.? :)

Here's the video:

masraum 10-09-2019 04:59 PM

Really ugly wheels. I suspect really cheap crappy tires too, although you can get into that sort of trouble with good tires and one of the roads in the video looked damp. It's probably more about the numbnuts behind the wheel than anything related to the vehicle.

I just don't understand the folks that continue to get in accidents and/or ticketed/arrested leaving cars and coffee. Haven't those knuckleheads seen youtube?

Alan A 10-09-2019 05:00 PM

You know it might be worth buying a regular v8 and bubble wrapping it.
With the accident rates as they are it’ll be rare in 20 years just by attrition alone.
The limited editions don’t get driven so may be ok - I’m talking about a regular version here.

pavulon 10-09-2019 05:03 PM

He needed a smoke and to stand on the shoulder looking wistful.

A930Rocket 10-09-2019 06:20 PM

Pfft..,

He should have rolled it back over and went home.

I saw three cars roll at the track and the guys did what they had to do to get back on it.

Make it 3-1/2. I didn’t roll it, but I hit the tire wall at VIR in turn 3 or 4. Rebuilt the front air dam with tape, sheet metal and pop rivers. Got an award for most work on the car for the weekend. :)

Bill Douglas 10-09-2019 06:25 PM

He was probably expecting to bounce off a pedestrian or two, to keep it going straight.

Can't find the HA HA meme so this will do:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1570714279.jpg

I remember back in the day, Porsche was sued because the 930 was too powerful for the average driver.
I thought that was ridiculous and was angered that low-lifes would do such a thing and get away with it.

But watching all these D-bags in moostangs has me reconsidering that stance.

Yes , but the ratio is about 100:1 . I think lots of entry level car people gravitate towards the moostang as their first performance car .
I personally know 4 or 5 guys who fit this bill .

What are the sales figures of V8 Mustangs versus Callengers and Camaros? Honest question, I have no clue.

I’ve rented Challenger RT’s and SS Camaros and this week I have Mustang GT just by chance. In a poor drivers hands they all are capable of crashing easily.

fastfredracing 10-10-2019 06:14 AM

I don't know either, but you cant swing a cat without seeing a mustang on the road here, where as there just are not that many hp camaro's running around .
Is a challenger even considered a pony car ? There are tons of them , dime a dozen

Exactly...I don't know who is worse in these videos. The idiots who line the sidewalk urging them on or the idiots in cars who oblige them.

Or..the idiots who post them on forums?

You forgot the idiots who own Mustangs and take personal offense at the schit-for-brainery being displayed. :)

Ok. But the videos are ubiquitous online and about as exciting as warm oatmeal, even when they crash. I don't get it.

Oh, but Magnus is a respected and admired Porsche collector.
So this makes him a discerning and sensible car owner. Far different from idiots who own Mustangs.

EDIT: disclaimer, I've crashed one car in my life, that was when I was 20 years old and I was doing something stupid. But it was a Porsche.

You are correct, but the Mustang seems to attract a certain kind of driver is the point.

Wtf are you droning about? Walker was roundly excoriated online after that crash, here and everywhere else on the www. And deservedly so. Do you want to do a count of ass-fuchery Mustang crash videos vs. 911 crash videos online?

I didn't think so. Stop taking the bait and stop trolling us w your Mustang crap, no one gives a schit. Enjoy your life. :)
