It’s impossible to know the truth but color me skeptical.

I get that but who knows what these two spoilt brats were doing. Were they playing games? Some BDSM stuff that got out of hand? Is she jilted? Did he see other women and rub her nose in it? Or was he just an ******* that should have treated her better? Maybe she's got mental health issues??? Whatever the reason she made a complaint and they acted on it. Like so many things in life... Things soon get out of hand.

I want to ask what you mean but I'm not sure I should... lol ;)

Lauer is just another MSM scumbag. But unlike many others he's getting what he deserves. His wife didn't file for divorce because she believed he was innocent.....

You have no idea why Roger Ailes “retired” from Fox, do you ?

For the same reason Charley Rose left PBS.

Moron.

https://www.marieclaire.com.au/matt-lauer-rape-allegation

In Nevils’ account, according to Variety, Lauer anally raped her in his hotel room after a night out while they were in Russia for the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

It gets worse in the link...

That's not what I would call vanilla sex & if she said no and he did it anyway then that's absolutely wrong.

So right woman, wrong orifice.

Maybe mentioned here earlier....It seems more accusations are coming out about Matt. But still, no one sleeps over and over with someone who raped them. Am I missing something? This is all about money in this case.

I wouldn't be so sure... Maybe he did the wrong thing and her complaint is legit.

cairns 10-12-2019 06:02 AM

What's worse is what the book says about NBC and its chief execs. Apparently Weinstein owned them and they were up to their own shenanigans. They protected Matt for a long time.

sc_rufctr 10-12-2019 06:33 AM

BTW The most prolific rapist of all time is Bill Cosby. How long was he the "protected" list?

Well, let's ponder this. I wasn't there and haven't read her entire book, but what I understand the facts are would be these:

She didn't immediately go to hotel security and file a complaint.
She didn't immediately go to the police and file a complaint.
She didn't immediately go to her boss and file a complaint.
She continued f*cking him for months afterwards, in his office, in his apartment and in other places.
She wrote in a book about the alleged incident.
Her people leaked this one excerpt from her book, probably to stimulate book sales.

Yeah, sounds pretty legit.
Not.

The paradox of abusive relationships, staying with the abuser, rapist, is beyond the talent of anyone here to handicap. Sorry. Don't pretend to know the dynamics because you don't.

The following is pretty standard fare: One in four women experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, and it is one of the most chronically underreported crimes: only about one quarter of all physical assaults, one fifth of all rapes and one half of all stalkings are reported to the police.

Experts say that the limitations of leaving can be both psychological and physical. Many rationalize their situation. “People wind up blaming themselves for the abusive behavior of their partners,” says Craig Malkin, a clinical psychologist at Harvard Medical School. “They convince themselves if they approach the person differently, maybe they won’t be abused.”

Malkin likened a relationship with an abusive partner to gambling addiction: “The person being abused is focused on the positive and waiting for the next positive. There’s a psychological effect like gambling: the moments of tenderness and intimacy are unpredictable, but they are so intense and fulfilling that the victim winds up staying in the hopes that a moment like that will happen again.”

Matt was married when he had what seems like more than one affair. He was in the power position, much like the Big Dog.

I have never met a man that cheated that wasn't a complete d-bag, quad d-bag if there are kids involved. Not one.

Here is what Bill Mahre said about Monica Lewinsky: “Monica Lewinsky is the one who should apologize to America. She’s the homewrecker. She blackmailed the president.”

Don't be Bill, or any of these f'ing losers:

Wait.

Perhaps the possibility of having her career ruined? Matt Lauer was one of the biggest morning news personalities on the air at the time.

Jury is still out but it doesn't sound like a credible story..... (*suggesting that the accusations against Lauer are not credible but let's wait and see*)

yet exponentially more credible than any accusation against Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh.... (*suggesting that innocent until proving guilty is the FAIR standard no matter who is being accused*)

I’m confused. Is Seahawk comparing an adulteress buttf*cker with an abused wife?

The denigrates every woman who is indeed a victim of domestic abuse.

Very piggish!
Tony

The opposite.

What makes you say this? It seems like there would not be a problem if Terry could manage to control himself.

javadog 10-16-2019 11:28 AM

A more reasonable question to ask might have been whether there's a difference in the behavior of a casual ****-buddy and a wife, in a circumstance such as this. I'd wager they were different.

I'm not supporting Lauer, at all. There was enough smoke that I'd easily accept that his ego made his dick do things it shouldn't have.

Likewise, I have a lot of sympathy for women that have suffered abuse or rape, not to mention the rest that have to put up with constant harassment from random men. There are far too many women that have been victims of this crap; I've known more than a few. It shouldn't happen, period.

But, I don't automatically buy into these stories any more. This one doesn't ring entirely true. Just my opinion, not worth much at the bank.
