No experience, and I can't picture the setup, but how about floodlights?

FloodLights

What else are you wanting to do? The old dim black lights will make liquid Tide detergent glow like mad, it can be "painted" on walls, ceilings, etc. and when dry you can't see it under regular light.

I don't think the new detergents have Phosphates in them anymore.

So depending on how picky you are about some stuff, some high lighter pens draw incredibly light BUT glow like mad. Try detergents with various " color brighteners" added to them, possibly something in "color safe bleach" , etc. Some plastics may glow as well, and anything with "charge it under a light and it will glow" will be really bright under UV.

Depending on how dedicated you are to this project, there are even tattoo inks that glow under UV.

I do not know how these preform, but the 10W floods in "cool" light are BRIGHT! About equal to a 100W flood. Each 24W bar will be like a 250 Watt incandescent flood. I expect you might "tan" in the light.

Oh man, a UV murder scene would be epic! Body outlines with blood pools and lots of blood spatter. Or HELP scrawled on the wall in "blood".

Just make sure that they actually emit UV light.

per Wikipedia
Quote:
Ultraviolet light can be generated by some light-emitting diodes, but wavelengths below 380 nm are uncommon and the emission peaks are broad, so only the very lowest energy UV photons are emitted, within predominant not visible light.

I may or may not have been involved in an incident involving a large, mostly empty apartment, black lights, liquid tide and various high-lighter pens, squirt guns, mister bottles, etc and various quantities of LSD and p.cubensis mushrooms....

Neat thing is that without UV light, nothing was visible at all...

I had black lights in my frat room. One night my roommate and I had a couple of sorority sisters in our room and we were having fun with a Stablio Boss highlighter drawing on each other. All innocent stuff. Then the 2 girls left for sixth street.

An hour or so later the girls were back. They were mad but laughing. The went to a dance club and all was fine until they started dancing on the black lit dance floor and realized they both had full Indian war paint on their faces!

PS: Gin and tonic glows in black light.
