Is it possible that, like most things in life, you take out what you bring in ?

I was completely unaware of all the supposed "messaging" you guys talked about before watching it, my kids enjoyed the relentless action, I had a good enough time (mostly being amused at their rapt faces) and at no time did I feel "messaged to". It was just a terminator movie, did not involved crazy sociological themes. I hated the child actor in T2, so I have no problem with john Connor now being a mexican plant worker girl.

Seemed like *exactly* the same premise as the original to me, with slight variations ("legion" for "skynet", enhanced human instead of regular human in T1). Our relation with technology was part of the original concept as well (skynet!!!), and it's gotten worse with our phones tracking us everywhere we go (vs using a phone book in the original). I truly have *no idea* what some of you are upset about, it *was* a total popcorn flick and the kids loved it (while they could not bear watching the original with it's now super cheesy special effects). That's all I'm saying ;-)

The Science Fiction channel has a series called Van Helsing. Based on the move character that at the end of the movie managed to kill Dracula. Of course the series has more vampires. Now all the Van Helsing descendants are attractive women, that can whip any man in short order.

The real kicker SJW moment was recently when the bad guys revived "the dark one" top vampire, and guess what, it is a woman. All the top toughest folks, good "guys" and bad "guys" are all women, all of them.

In the move Hugh Jackman was the original Van Helsing. Now it seems all he has is female descendants.

Dracula above is/was Trisha helfer, the hot Cylon on galactica ;-)

It just seems weird to see the toughest warriors the humans have are three small women. And the bad over the top men Dracula is also a woman. Well, OK I have known some women that are just bloodsuckers, but that were not that bad.

The men were only used as pawns and killed off.
