That was very interesting. We have one instrument here dedicated to fundamental neutron physics. They are currently trying to measure the neutron electric dipole moment.

Crazy stuff. I just try and keep the neutron factory running.

This place is insane.

I kind of jealous of my wife that got to cast a really huge sphere of Np in a hot cell.

The labs are great. I've had three careers at 45, worked with Pu, Be and explosives. Once I get Ebola I'll feel complete.

I nearly took a job as a project leader for Proton Radiography - they're gearing up to do explosively driven shots with Pu. How cool to do that without having to go in a tunnel in NV!

If they are small enough, an air hose is easier.

You're right!! I have been in many conferences and workshops over the years being exposed to what the world of physics is up to and the never ceases to amaze me. FRIB harvesting rare isotopes using uranium beams on the Michigan State campus...crazy stuff at CERN where they are simply peeling bits of the LHC beam off and doing all kinds of stuff. Heck, we're looking for neutrinos in the basement of our facility.

I'm headed to ESS in Sweden in December. Never been there. That should be fun.
