World Series/ MLB Postseason 2019 Thread
What? Since the Dodgers are out, no one cares?
I cannot believe how the Nationals are doing! They are playing some amazing ball! Not to mention Tampa Bay. Holy crap that was a tough team! #3 and #4 best pitchers against our (Astros) #1 and #2 pitchers. Why we let Charlie Morton go, I'll never understand. 2 days ago, Tanaka showed the Astros the Yankees are no slouches. And Judge is a MONSTER. Someone get the torches and pitchforks! Out to dinner tonight, which is too bad as I'd like to watch the Nats cream St. Louis at home. Who are YOU rooting for?

Sadly, the Cardinals do not look like an option

Astros, I'm glad they finally dropped the Dis prefix that they had forever. Also rooting for the MLB to shorten the season, and go to 7 game series throughout the playoffs.

Nats are on a tear!
I do wonder if the extended time off will be a good thing or bad. The other series is only 2-1 so the National's will have at least 5 days off, potentially longer if the other series goes 7.

The last time a World Series was played in DC, the New York Giants won game 5 on Mel Ott's home run.
In 1933. ![]()

Edit - Here is the video - Keep'n it Classy, New York
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zR6BXIpkIPc I saw the catch and the fan reaction. On the left of the picture, there was almost fan interference. On the right, the guy above the "S" screamed profanities at Reddick, and pounded on the wall. Way to stay classy, New York.

I wish.
Yanks are very prone to shooting themselves in the foot this time of year, then blame lack of talent in the bullpen. With all that fire-power in the batter's box, they're driving me nuts. Bill K

I'm just enjoying seeing some good baseball. Dodgers would have been my favorite if they'd made it but since they messed up, again, I'll just take in as many games as I can and enjoy them. The situational ball being played out at times is fun to watch. My son having played D1 ball when in school, I know how hard these guys work to get where they are.

Wow, the Angel's just signed Joe Madden as manager.
Maybe Trout will make the playoffs before his contract expires after all.

As a Giants fan who can't stand LA, I am now a Nats fan for the balance. Problem is no runs after the first. If they can't score under those circumstances then I worry about them particularly if the Astros are the opponent
