Your reptailain thought process could probably think of a few logical explanations.

gordner 11-27-2019 02:13 PM

It took this for it to occur to you an ATM card is less than guaranteed access to your money? Ever heard of a power failure? And don't you constantly warn of the day cash will be worthless? So how is that safer?

Think your tinfoil hat is a little tight today.

You are in middle America hearing hooves and looking for zebras. For a guy that purports to be smart, that is odd behaviour....DP rubbing off on you?

If you ever fly Spirit Airlines don't bother printing out their boarding pass at home.

Their bar codes have a high failure to scan rate, to the point that TSA will make a face when they see one it's that prevalent.

I don't think it's a mass conspiracy to control our travel, simply apathy on Spirits part.

But he lives in Vegas. It's hot there.

Here is the Hot Air thought of the day...

If you only have a short term memory a set of happen stances and or events will appear to be coincidental to you. If you have a long term memory those happenstances will fit a ongoing pattern or process. Secondly knowing history you can see the historical trajectory of that pattern and offer a prognosis as to outcome.

What I can not get around and avoid are the consequences of a massive Global debt building regime...Global civilization has progressed to the point where that civilization NEEDS it's debt fix (and monetary facilitator) in order to get up and function in the morning. It needs it's Mothers little helper to get by, otherwise the system starts to go into cardiac arrest. All I have done for the past 10 years is repeat that central truth and state the ongoing prognosis of that trajectory.

The latest development in the progress of the need for the Debt fix is the FED offering the fix daily OVER THE COUNTER at the REPO window... That is a very stark and unsettling development/reality. The next step in the progress of the debt regime is for the institutions to start finagling with their cash flow in order to make ends meet (it will start small a few here a few there so as to be unnoticeable). Of course they will make excuses (plausible deniability) as to why it is happening..has that started yet, I just do not know??? It is possible???

Note my question marks. I do not idly put them there.

In life I find it best to keep your ears into the wind..to remain wary...especially of Greeks bearing gifts...

Most likely a tech failure of some sort..chip failure or computer failure...who knows????

For whatever reason it failed TRUST has diminished...that is a inescapable reality...

Cheapness...cost control.. they can limp by using chewing gum and duct tape...it speaks to the state of their finances.

I have already spoken to you about this in Post #20. "Then WHY SHOULD I USE SOMETHING THAT IS PRONE TO SPORADIC FAILURE if I depend upon it to pay for potentially life sustaining things."

One might think that the Chase server is located in Northern California and is subject to PG&E BLACKOUTS? Our world would come crashing down if the power suddenly went out..one EMP and here comes the Dark Age..that thought is nothing new and something I don't dwell upon..but it remains a real possibility. The real danger is the complacency built into the illusion that tech/science is an unstoppable progressive force. There is a very real fragility to our civilization that has become evermore tech dependent.

Nothing is ever really "safe," it is a complacent illusion...I have long preached that we control virtually nothing, everything is always out of control. We only have the illusion of control as the pendulum usually swings in short arcs..but there is nothing to say that those pendulum swings can't suddenly become wild and unpredictable.

The credit card chip failed. I knew it. I knew it. The sky is falling. Proof positive that the economy is going to crash.

because you ain’t too bright.

Someone that rants about the failure of the banking system and the descent into anarchy that will follow is now whining because his debit card - and I thought only one pelicanite used those things - isn’t working.

If you don’t have enough cash on your person to cover all your expenses and to get home to where the rest of your cash, food and weaponry is then I’m not going to be kind.

I’m from an age when your card could be swallowed by a machine. Now I always have enough to tide me over. And it doesn’t live in my wallet.

LOL when my debit fails....I just use my homeless sign. Sure beats workin' fer a bank or gettin' tossed out of salsa bars fer dippin' yer chips once to often...just sayin' ;)

Dont say that too loud some homeboys might follow you home and ask for a redistibution of the wealth.

Mother in Tuson told me during a previous crisis that it wont matter if you have plastic or a wheelbarrel full of cash we will all be in a breadline. It was that close of a run thing.

It is rather sad that we are dependent on a piece of plastic, working or not, to make a simple transaction. That much control over our lives may prove to be societies undoing. God forbid the EBT cards stop working cause than Wal-Mart will just let you leave with baskets full of stuff no matter what... https://www.naturalnews.com/042479_EBT_cards_Walmart_looting.html

This may not be what happened in your case, but, if your card has been compromised, rather than call and tell you, most bank fraud departments just disable you chip.

Some readers display not approved
Others display chip failure.

(causing your to contact them to get a new on)
Often they don't share much about the fraud so yo may never know how where or when it was compromised)

Or, perhaps someone’s irrational paranoia is escalating.
