Your 660 Grizzly will move a lot of snow if you catch it early before the snow warms up and gets wet......Trick is to plow it as far back from the drive (or whatever) that you can. That way you have room to put the next next snow.....

Each tool has their plus and minus....I have a 700 Grizzly with blade and also full sized John Deere tractor with bucket and blade........Each have a time and place.....G'luck....

with your experience bob i have a few questions id like to run by ya.

i got a second set of wheels with mud/snow tires and im wondering if they are going to be better or not? the reason i ask is in theory the wheels running behind the blade should be pretty much snow free and with the deep tred much less rubber is in contact with the AC pavement with them.

secondly, im wondering if with the weight of the blade up front will cause lightening of the rear end to the point traction is diminished significantly? I did move the preload on the front shocks to the stiffest setting, but wondering if weighting the rear end is advised. my pops uses his quad for disking weeds in his sandy Monterey county soil and has a old milk crate he fills with old corvette break rotors reporting it helps with traction a ton. he tows the disk and its not even on the front unloading the rear end. he's got a ton of old, used up rotors cause corvettes are hard on brakes at the track.

My 700 Grizzly has the same wheels/tires as in your picture.....I've never had a problem unless it's pure ice on my asphalt drive. Additionally, I plow our 1/4 mile private road and a big cul-de-sac......The land is all level which helps. I have tire chains for the ATV, but have never put them on. Never added weight. Blades does add to front loading, so smart to bump up the shocks. Sometime I get stuck if pushing snow too far into a ditch. Then all it usually needs is to push the button to lock the hubs.......So, to answer your question, you could try the other tires, have a set of chains handy if having traction issues.....

Also, if a heavy snow like 20", take a smaller bite with the blade. I have to the tractor for the heavy and deep; it's good to have options....

By the way, I had the 660 for awhile.....It was a 2007, came with a Carb and no power steering. I sold it and bought a 700 Grizzly (late year 2007 also)...Gained fuel injection and power steering. PS is nice in tight quarters...G'luck...
