Friday what is it quiz
Early prototype of the flux capacitor?
Morse code signal light?
some sort of spotlight or signal light. The reflector looks like a mirror, possibly parabolic, so that would imply optical. It's kind of hard to see much detail for the mechanism in the photo.
Some sort of LIDAR device for a targeting system?
^ good possibility L S.
M-60 tanks had something very similar looking mounted on the main gun. Cheers Richard |

Don’t look at it when it’s on.

Spotlight from a tank. |
Hmm, I thought it was the dualdoppler hyperdicinator assembly used on an Adams Class Destroyer.
Too big for a tank, plus lack of any anti-vibration mounting system.
Gotta be permanent mount. Too complicated for a simple light especially with that extra dish in the way. Gotta be a radar or ranging system. Not a telescope. The simple tube on the side might be a heat-vent. Meaning there's a lot of power inside. Another indication for a permanent location. |
Were those the lights used to start the fire at the Branch Dividian Compound in Waco, TX?

Didn’t read the replies but I’m guessing a flood light on a military tank, etc.
