interesting war read
I don't think that Forbes would be considered a left-wing publication (I guess it would be relative to what though). At any rate, an interesting take on the rhetoric that is flying around:

In my view, there are two unanswered questions to this war:
1. Are there really WMDs in Iraq ? 2. Do the Iraqui people really want to be freed from Saddam ? I am still waiting for the answers, like I am still waiting for the capture of Bin Laden, the discovery of who sent those anthrax letters, etc, etc, etc... Aurel

That whole piece is based on opinions, and interpetations. Directives in war will change on a every day basis. The fact that we have multiple objectives in this war does not constitute deception of any kind. When that country is secure and the people are free to express themselves the whole world will learn not only about the attrocities that Saddams reign has inflicted on his own people, But the truth will unfold in unprecidented fasion for all to see. Our Objectives in Iraq can and should only be criticized when that comes.

That's interesting. Maybe a stretch, but interesting.
Funny, I've been struggling through "Foucault's Pendulum" for weeks now, never thought I'd see a reference to the Templars anywhere else. Ed |

Many analysts, both in the United States and abroad, however, see the shifts either as a consequence of Bush's failure to making a convincing case for war or as evidence of a hidden agenda in the Middle East.
Yes, he should just say oil and economic stability of the region. Q: "Here, take my twin Towers, my dream. I sacrifice them for the cause. Let their destruction set in motion a chain of events that will bring the militant cowboy America to its knees, so that it can take its place as just another nation, another jewel in the belt of the global managers." It has a ceremonial ring to it, doesn't it? Inflamatory and disgusting! Conjecture at its very worse. This isn't even journalism. Sounds like ultra left wing propagandist masturbation. Both articles suck IMO. Forbes is regurgitation of what could be seen months before the war, and "nomorefakenews" sounds, well, fake.

What; you didn't buy "The true control of the Vatican has, for centuries, been in the hands of a militant group."
You should realize I found More Proof that this is true.

Didn't read the above articles, and it sounds like I shouldn't.
However, here's an article I found interesting. It really personalizes the troops in the war. I thought it was refreshing compared to the bland reports bombarding the airwaves. Lost tank in Iraq Jürgen |
