RIP Bill Simpson

How many motorsport participants lived through accidents because of Simpson products?

Hell of a great legacy.

Lest we forget, Bill Simpson was vilified after Dale Earnhardts death, forced to step down from his own company.

And instead of retiring with his millions, he started a second safety equipment company. Made another fortune!

RIP, Bill Simpson. We need more of your stripe today now more than ever!!!

NASCAR hung him high after Earnhardt's crash. Then we find out loos, improperly installed belts etc. I used to wear mine loose, nothings going to happen, now I cinch them up and wear a HANS.

Perhaps the biggest individual name in motorsports safety. RIP Bill Simpson.

RIP Bill
I had quite a bit of your equipment when I was racing.

Always snug up your harness, loose belts will cause a lot of harm....ask me how I know...

Sad that he was a scapegoat for Earnhardt's death which lead to him leaving his own company. RIP.

I just bought my first Simpson helmet last year. I'd never even tried one on before so I was pleasantly surprised at how well it fit my head.
