Here is the after clip. Some guy found it at a flea market. Same brothers did this one as the previous clip. There is actually a lot of stuff out there from right after the 1906 earthquake

Same video after the Russian guy got ahold of it. I think I could do without the colorization, but the cleaning up and noise removal and stuff that he's done is nice.

Think how bad those cities must smell. All would smell like a a horse barn. My wife would say that is good smell, but I disagree.

Very cool vision of what science and technology has wrought in 110 to 120 years. I much prefer my air conditioned car with stereo and safety.

Yeah, I like seeing the old environment as it actually was versus someone's idea that got put into a movie. And movies these days are pretty good at that, but still not quite the same.

Not only seeing the buildings, clothes and carriages/cars, but also the people. For instance, the video from the Victorian laborers included a bunch of kids, and they didn't seem much different than a similar video from today might seem.

Nah.... no one noticed. What smell?

Look up 'olfactory fatigue' Even people living downwind of a sewage treatment plant don't smell it after 30 minutes or so. Their visitors do, though.

Those are pretty cool. Interesting to see how people reacted to the camera. I wonder what it looked like. Couldn't have been many around in those days.
