This past decade gave me a black eye....
Literally
 . Can't recall ever having one before...even with a broken nose back in college. I need a good story to tell....Here's to the other eye and another decade  !

Did you save the van full of schoolkids on their way to the homeless shelter to pass out warm gloves and scarves and bowls of soup?
Did the puppies live?

I had two bad black eyes after sinus surgery, but that was over 20 years ago. There is nothing like watching a needle that is 18 inches long shoved up your nose.
My brother gave me some black eyes as a kid in the endless fights we had. One of my many pet peeves is in movies the folks can have horrific fights, and at most might have a small trickle of blood from the corner of their mouth. They never get the big fat lips, and swollen eyes like boxes get in reality.

I met my gf this past decade, so that was good. However, I've been hospitalized a few times for kidney stone removal, almost dying from food poisoning, a couple of surgeries for a frozen rt shoulder, said kidney stone removal, trigger finger surgeries, and wearing a Holter monitor a couple times. Had a ton of diagnostic tests on my heart, including a cardiac cath that was administered by a high school classmate. Pretty embarrassing with her shaving me. lol
I hope this decade will be kinder to me, but I know I need to have surgery on the other shoulder.

Born in 60, approaching 60, hard headed....
I got a fat bloody lip from tripping over puppies in my back yard a few months back...the shiner was self-induced when I head butted my kitchen tile floor...no one to blame! Bar fight, heroic rescue, etc. Make it good
