Kobe...

Helicopter crash? OMG. Breaking now.

NBA superstar Kobe Bryant died at 41 in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday, January 26, TMZ is reporting.

The former L.A. Lakers player was traveling with at least three other people on his private helicopter when a fire reportedly broke out. Fire brigade and paramedics attended the scene but TMZ reports that five people are confirmed dead.

RIP and respect to a man who played his entire 20 year career with only one team.

Who were the other three or four?

ABC news reported that his kids were with him including his oldest daughter.
His wife is going to need lots of support.

Man, that's a nightmare.

The few pics I've seen make it look pretty foggy...if so, that may explain what happened.

Too sad.

His daughter, Gianna, was also on board as was another player and parent en route to a travel basketball game.....from espn.

No word yet about the pilot.

Scott Douglas 01-26-2020 12:11 PM

They're now reporting that his oldest daughter, parent of one of her teammates and the teammate, along with the pilot were on board.

The early pics I saw showed that the fog was pretty low relative to the top of the hill. I can believe that they flew into the hillside if the fog was that low.
