"Wheeler dealer dream car" anyone ?
New show by Brewer, with an ex-F1 mechanic Elvis something (he wrote a book about his experienc ien F1, I read it, but can't remember his last name)... Not sure where else it's available but I watched on motortrend on demand...
For those of us who enjoyed the mechanical portion of wheeler dealer (Edd china or Ant anstead) more than the Mike Brewer part, well, this is emphatically *not* the show for you ;-) ("ant anstead master mechanic" might be the show for you) Brewer starts with someone's crap car and and some cash and works his way up selling and reselling 2 or 3 times to be able to make enough $ to buy someone's dream car. Within reason, I imagine (yugo to bugatti is unlikely). sometimes taking a side trip like this episode with a horse carrier.... It's 80% Mike wheeling & dealing and the rest with the poor F1 mechanic spending some time painting a wheel, putting a vinyl stripe, refurbishing a horse carrier, and a glueing a piece of carpet to a land rover's roof... Must regret leaving McLaren daily - seems like a nice guy though ! It's not for me. At all. It's my least favorite bits of wheeler dealer expanded... But it's out there if you're into that... |

I would watch it when they put it on regular Motortrend TV. I just can't see spending the coin for the app on top of the cable and internet bill.
Mike has a series of Wheeler Dealers that was called Trading Up. He started with a cheap car, did little more that wash and detail the cars, and traded them up to better and better cars. It was in Europe, and lots of interesting cities. I may have to look into the Master mechanic show.

Honestly Glen, for $4.99 a month and a true no hassle unsubcription mechanism, you could pay the $5 and see all you want to see in a couple of months (the entire master mechanic series - super cool, all the wheeler dealers seasons and top gears you missed, some 5th gear which can't been seen here at all, extremely funny "head to head" with jason camissa (R&T) and jonny lieberman (MT) + randy posbt etc..)... Then bail ! It's not a big financial hardship..
I keep it mostly for racing stuff: they have Aussie supercar races (always bonkers), bathurst live, some Lemans stuff (WEC, blancpain, GT3), Porsche supercup, and much more.... It's heavily biased towards "junkayard-redneck-restoration-supermod-mud-trucker-pinkslip-dragster" shows unfortunately for me, but there are some gems in there - I spent an entire month rewatching wheeler dealers on old lancias and bimmers, cast to my TV. $5 a month isn't even on par with my chips and salsa budget. |

Wheeler Dealers
It's part of my cable package and I just sort the wheat from the chaff. I read the episode descriptions and record the ones that interest me.
I enjoy the problem solving, and Mike doesn't really bother me. I also like Fantom Works, and now that Aaron Kaufman has left Fast 'n Loud, I don't have to watch Richard any more. ![]() Last edited by Rinty; 02-10-2020 at 12:41 PM.. |

I like Dirt Every Day and Roadkill and Engine Masters, and Throttle Out. Wheeler Dealers is wasted on the likes of me, though.
