I'm almost strictly a dividend investor and just by dumb luck, I bought a bunch of 3M a couple weeks ago and couldn't figure out why their stock seemed to be one of the few rising the last couple days...but then I remembered they sell 80% of the world's masks.

Not sure about 3M but bleach, yes, investors were going bubblish over that.

Think about that, bleach.

the great thing is that if covid-19 does kill a bunch of old people on crusie ships, then they won't die from norovirus

The bad news is chlorine bleach is cheap, and east to make and there are no patents in making bleach.

Very little survives a good does of bleach, but some things do. If Bleach alone was enough, that would not use autoclaves. Of course ya can't autoclave everything.

Holding up really well.

Stock up on Bleach !

Bleach can't be shipped very far so you need manufacturing facilities with extra capacity relatively near the end users. The big manufacturers are the only ones that will be able to scale up and take advantage of the increased demand.

The bad news continue.

The man was likely exposed to the virus while he travel in February on a Princess cruise ship from San Francisco to Mexico, officials said in a statement.

In a health advisory released by Grand Princess – which is operated by Princess Cruises – chief medical officer Dr. Grant Tarling notified guests and crew currently sailing onboard Grand Princess that the ship – which is currently at sea – will not be traveling to Ensenada, Mexico and instead will return directly to San Francisco in order for the CDC to collect information and meet with cruise officials.

The health advisory states the cluster is connected to the ship’s previous voyage that sailed roundtrip from San Francisco from February 11 to 21.

If anyone here actually did short cruise line stocks, they made a fortune today. Princes is down 40% before they hit the circuit breaker on the NYSE. When I heard the NIH person say, "don't get on a cruise ship," over the weekend, I knew this was coming. Not that they were not in a heap of trouble already.

Not to mention that last week Richard Branson launched his new Virgin Cruise line...talk about nailing it with timing!
