I feel your pain.
I posted last week about responding to a couple of ads multiple times and only getting a response to one of them. The ads are still up.

I have had good experience with Craigslist. How much time has elapsed? Some people are kind of slow to respond.

Unless you're new to CL, this is par for the course.

Move on. If it was that good, it's gone and that's most likely what happened. Your reply is now nothing but spam.

I was trying to locate a couple parts for my '83SC rebuild project and found an eBay seller in Hawaii that had them. I sent him an offer and the offer expired without any response so I figured I must have insulted him so much with my offer he didn't feel I deserved a response...lol.

I ended up making other arrangements for those two parts and then a few days later I (finally do) hear from the eBay seller saying he doesn't check his email very often and if I put the offer back in he'll respond. Too late. How was I supposed to know what was going on? People need to check their email when they list stuff for sale.

Posting on craigslist ads with your phone number generates a tremendous amount of scams that come in through text messages. Most have "still got " message which is obviously a spam. One live one wanted me to click on a URL. Seems it was this. https://support.google.com/voice/thread/845902?hl=en

Be careful out there. But to me, craigslist is dead as the risks associated with it is too great.

I wonder if they do that because they're testing us. Or if they just aren't paying attention to the question.

I have bought and sold multiple cars on Craigslist, but now they are charging fees to sell cars.... The only cars I find there anymore are from crappy little used car lots. I use Facebook marketplace and Autotrader now when looking for used cars.

I basically stopped looking at Craigslist last year, they charged/recharged me for selling a a car, and there are far less to look at on the site, for this reason.

FB marketplace is a living/breathing entity...you better act quick on a good deal, and generally more local than CL.

CL charging a fee is the best thing that ever happened to CL auto.
In all aspects of life, a small fee is the best way to weed out the noise

I think it is a 4x4, a landcruiser or a bronco, right!?

If you don't get a response, check your spam email. Always include your number when inquiring. Usually if you don't get a response the car is sold.

I like CL. I hate to hear this move to Facebook classifieds. Dating on there now too. What part of your life will they not record?

I bought and sold cars on Craigslist when it was free. Now there are essentially no private seller cars being listed. Not sure how that qualifies as "the best thing that ever happened to CL".....

Most of the listings were spams or scams before.

Hope you weren't either.
