What am I missing?

Is this some kind of special tuned ECU? Why so much ?

I have heard some of the items with totally insane prices are mostly a way to money launder. So if you are owed some cash, sell an item for insane money, and only the person that owes you money for some drug deal or illegal thing can send the money. Taxes are paid, so the government does not investigate.

That seems the like the most logical explanation.

Same ebay store has a Porsche muffler for $30k and a MBenz brake rotor for $29,950.

I think this is nothing nefarious - just bogus prices.

Ive seen those before. Little trivial parts with super high prices. Maybe they want you to contact them so they can sell off ebay to avoid fees ???

I have a spare ECM and was checking out the going rates. I’d be elated if It was worth $15,000.
$1,000-1500 seems more realistic.

If the ECU was 15K a complete car would be worth millions. I would begrudgingly sell my 911 for a million. I expect that will happen when the US congress decides to drop all partisan politics and they all work together for the good of the country.

That seems likely- using Flea Bay for free advertising.

Another thing I've noticed is vendors do this when they don't have any just now, but expect to get more in - seems to be a way to avoid re-writing the description all over from scratch.

I suspect they'd try extra hard to fulfill the order if you paid $16K for it...
