Started watching this morning. Very excited I am going to attend my first F1 race this year. This really gave me more insight into the races.

Are you planning to look around more of the country than just the track?

Plan is Tour of Germany and Austria. Taking about 10 days. It will be our first time really in those two.

That is an outstanding series!

You really get a glimpse into the teams, challenges and drivers. Sad to see how expendable drivers are, but I understand with millions at stake no one is safe. Pressure must be intense, especially with only20 seats available.

The sad thing I see is there is a lot of blame on the drivers for not doing better, even though the car sucks. These are the best of the best, I would love to see all drivers do a lap in Hamilton’s last year car to see how much is car and how much is driver...

I agree it's a great series. I am learning so much about what does on behind the scenes.

One thing I didn't realize was how quickly the team is ready to let an "old" guy fall to the side for a young guy.
I'm amazed anyone lasts more than a couple seasons. Those "older" guys are beasts, though. What they put their bodies through and their reflexes are amazing.Of course "old" is a relative term. Seems to me 28 is makes you old.

The camera work is spectacular for Season 2.

OTOH, you get a soda straw view of sort of the "fluff" bits. No real interviews of the team key engineers, etc. It the big teams, you have to produce results or you are gone. Haas, on the other hand.....not so much. I sort of liked the footage of the drivers and team principals at home. I thought that was really quite humanizing. Much harder to dislike Gasly now. Horner is well, still a D-bag pretty much all the time.

I keep meaning to watch it, sounds quite entertaining

Never fear plenty of old dudes like me and dudettes too away from the track back at the teams HQ's showing the youngsters how to do it After +20 of F1 everyone looks so young now

I've been to the track with team's a few times and really enjoyed it but wouldn't want to do it for a living as all the travelling and long hours makes it a young mans game

Do you have a route planned through Germany and Austria? Please start a thread for this as I'm sure more than me would be interested in your trip

I didn't get that impression of Horner, but a tough cookie he is. What I like about him is his personal confidence. If you call that being a dirtbag, so be it.

On that note there is only one thing wrong with Hass — Guenther Steiner. Now there's a non-leader dickhead. Yelling F-you at everyone every minute is not leading.

My takeaway: Ruthless ambition will win the day in a sport as competitive and expensive as F1.

After watching the series, I think Red Bull is going to be tough this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see them leapfrogging Ferrari, unless Leclerc shows the world that he's ready to follow in the footsteps of Michael Schumacher and fold the whole team around his considerable talent. Unless Vettel can dig deep and find the burning desire he had to win that he had at RB, he will never get his fifth championship, and his career might just be over after this season...

A Magnussen / Leclerc battle for a title would be fun to watch.

And, I'm sorry, but I just don't have the hatred many here do for Grosjean. My belief is that he could be a real challenger for wins and podiums in a top team.

Sorry, I meant "douchebag". D-bag is just well, a more polite way of saying it.

... because there is no way the segments could be edited to show only that side of him. Its F1 reality TV.
