tweeters should go up near ear level. The need to have a crossover. And +1 you need an amp, and a deck that allows some fine tuning.

Sorry I missed you as well!

Definitely not hiring myself out for any stereo installs, this one took me a ridiculous long time. I hid the stereo in the glove box so that the original, non-working Becker still sits in the factory place looking pretty. Now the car has tunes, including an auxiliary cord for iPod or phone hook-up. The tweeters may not be the most elegant solution but I was adamant about not drilling any holes or screwing anything onto the dash or doors, etc.

That would not be possible in this application. It sounds very decent, not quite as good as the factory stereo in my newer cars but very acceptable. And the x-over is in the wire, as pointed out a few posts back.
