While I suspect he agreed to a lap dance, I suspect that he was told the price afterwards. I understand that is pretty common. They used to do similar at strip joints near military bases. The woman asks you to buy her a drink or a bottle of Champagne to share and it is anywhere from $200 to $500 when the bill comes...but they may negotiate down to as much cash as you have on you. They know you have to pay...or your career/life is ruined.
