1976 Porsche 924

Hi folks! Here’s my 1976 Porsche 924. I’m the second owner. I have everything for the car from original dealer brochure, to the first owner’s maps and sunglasses to name a few! I would like to enter for “the most original” and “garage” entries. She’s bone stock! Everything she came with since new.

LOVE your 924! Especially that yellow.....perfect for that particular model!

Please stick around and tell us more about her - and your airhead too, if you don't mind.

My second car was exactly the same year model and color. I was 20 years old and the birds were flocking. At least thats how the stories go 35 years later.

When I saw the first pic, I thought "That has got to be a west coast car. " The maps would seem to confirm it.
Also it looks to be much loved. Nice car. Thanks for posting.
Best

924s have mostly vanished. We have a few club members with them, but not many. And to see a rust free version is rare.

I bought a 914 2.0 back in 1974 and it was my only car so it was a daily driver. I worked at a place with 6 employees, and the boss and his wife so 7 cars in the lot. The boss bought a 924, and one of the employees was hired on and she had a 924. So in the parking lot were 3 Porsches. The general public thing every Porsche is an super expensive car so lots of people joked they wanted a job there so they could buy a Porsche.

Now get out there and drive that beauty!

They are fun to drive, got enough juice to keep up with modern traffic.
And because they aren't big n fat n heavy they feel faster then the modern cars at the same speed.

I'de love a 76 to go with my cayman (i'm from 76 too), but it's difficult to find a good one here, at least for a reasonable price.. they somehow ask 8 K for a ratty one these days and that's just not it for me.

Are those backseats and front seats mismatched from factory???
Seems kind of odd , I think the front's been reupholstered with that fabric??

That is a damn fine 924 !

I am still driving my 924S. It is a great little car. I have had 914's, 944's, & 911's. I just like the simplicity of my 924S.
