Great interview. Thanks for posting.
Did you notice how the camera keeps moving back and forth? It’s kind of distracting. |
Latest from his wife says she's recovered and he is stable now. Hope this holds...
|
you just know we're going to get a great song out of this.
|
I hope for a full recovery!
I had planned to introduce my wife to his music at a concert in Spokane in August. Even with a hoped for recovery, I doubt he'll be on the road anytime soon. We are sitting in the living room drinking wine after dinner and listening to his music now, sending healing thoughts and prayers. The moon and stars hang out in bars just talkin' I still love that picture of us walkin' Just like that ol' house we thought was haunted Summer's end came faster than we wanted Come on home Come on home No you don't have to Be alone Come on home Come on home You don't have to Be alone Just come on home |
Oh man - I have really enjoyed his songs on my early morning commuting bike rides. There are some chuckles still on some lines.
Underlying conditions would be the man's middle name. Cancer survivor, including lung surgery. Last twitter entry: Fiona Whelan Prine Mar 30 I need to clarify what I mean by “John is stable”. That is not the same as improving. There is no cure for Covid-19. He needs our prayers and love - as do the thousands of others who are critically ill. Stay at home. Wash your hands. We love you. https://twitter.com/FionaPrine?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp% 7Ctwgr%5Eauthor John, I hope you pull through. We need more of your songs! G |
Hang in there John, we need more from you!!
I always liked this tune, he had a way to make a morbid situation pretty funny... Woke up this morning, put on my slippers, walked in the kitchen and died. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DEhqzOeJnto" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

From Fiona Prine(wife):
"This is John’s 8th day in ICU . He is receiving excellent medical care and being treated with kindness and compassion by the entire team looking after him day and night. I cannot be with him which makes this nightmare all the more distressing for me. As you know, John was put on a ventilator last Saturday. He still needs quite a bit of help with his breathing. Like many patients currently in ICU beds all around the world, John has pneumonia in both lungs. He has also developed some peripheral issues that are being treated with meds, including antibiotics. He is very ill and yet I remain hopeful that he can continue to fight this devastating virus and come home where we can care for him. I don’t have the words to adequately Thank You all for the outpouring of love and prayers that John and our family has received this last week. It means the world to us to have your love and support at this difficult time. On behalf of me and our boys- Jody Jack and Tommy - please know that we are keeping you all in our hearts with a prayer that you stay safe and healthy. Please continue to send Love, Prayers and Positive Energy to John. He needs us now more than ever. John loves you and I love you too" |
He didn't make it.
