New grape vine shoots falling off at the main cain.

I can't seem to put together the right words for a search. Whole 3' shoots just dropping to the ground. No pests that I know of and I did find a bit of spider mite evidence but I've never seen that cause as dissection.

I just used some Monterrey Disease Control as a systemic soak but am wondering what you grape guys and gals know. I can nix some spray out of that as well but right now it's a bit windy. Maybe tonight.

Garage
I think they may be water suckers from all the rain we've had lately, Zeke.
Were they the only growth on the vines?

No. Some stalks are healthy for the time being. But a third fell off in a day. One vine, the other is setting fruit.

Do, they just break off or do they look like they’re rotting or being chewed first then fall over?

The whole shoot or stalk breaks at the old 2nd year growth even and clean. Just falls off like I snapped it off but all on its own.

Check out “Grape Cane Girdler” the bug, not the tool. I doubt that is it because there’s evidence of chewing by the beetle.

My AZ grape vines are booming with baby grapes already, lots of desert rain this year.
My OC vines are struggling, not many new shoots

The recent rains and the systemic seemed to work.
